Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi said on Wednesday in Abuja that Joseph Yobo and Osaze Odemwingie were still members of the team and would return when necessary.
Keshi made the assertion while fielding question on the return of the players for the World Cup, at the Super Eagles interactive session with the media.
“Yobo is part of us; he is still our captain. I speak with him all the time and if he thinks he is ready we will bring him back.
“But it is not about whom you are, it is about what you can give Nigerians.
“I don’t do this sentiment stuff. We see European players that are 39-year-old and they still play for their national teams and they are quality players.
“If a player is going to give me and the team what we want no matter the age I will play that person,’’ he said.
Keshi said that invitation to the national team was not about age, but commitment and determination.

He disclosed that the team would prefer to camp in the city of Miami or Houston in the U.S. to prepare for the 2014 World Cup.

The Super Eagles coach said his decision was based on the similar weather condition both cities share with Brazil, the 2014 World Cup host. (NAN
