Gambia has banned all aircrafts from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea following reports of Ebola outbreak in the three West African countries.

President Yahya Jammeh issued the order banning all flights from the three countries with immediate effect, a Gambian newspaper, Freedom Newspaper reported.

The decision followed the outbreak of Ebola in the West African region. The Kanilai deranged despot said the decision to ban flights coming from the above named countries was in line with Gambia's efforts to prevent its citizens from getting infected with the dreadful Ebola pandemic.

According to the newspaper, hundreds of passengers have been rendered stranded across the West African region, following President Jammeh's latest decree to ban airlines from landing in The Gambia.

Health Ministry officials and Banjul Aviation staff have confirmed the story. According to the paper, many travelers have been compelled to travel by land through other countries as The Gambia Civil Aviation Management said they have been instructed by President Jammeh to turn down flights coming from Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.

"This country is a dictatorship. All it takes is for Jammeh to issue orders and it is executed without giving due regards to the economic and political ramifications such decisions can cause. As we speak, all flights coming from Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea Conakry have been banned in the name of fighting Ebola. The approach taken by Jammeh is wrong. We can fight Ebola without banning incoming flights. What's the use of the Ministry of health? Passengers coming into the country should be required to travel with health certification documents to proof to the next port of call that they have not been infected with Ebola. How about testing passengers at the airport? Jammeh is stupid," said an official of the Ministry of Health.

"Even the Minister is not happy with the decision. Jammeh thinks that he knows everything on this planet. The airport is going to lose a lot of revenue in coming days and weeks because of Jammeh's dumb decision," he warned.

In Liberia, it is reported that many passengers travelling to The Gambia have been rendered stranded. One of the passengers told the Freedom Newspaper that he had to cancel his air ticket reservation because of Jammeh's foolish decision to ban incoming flights.
