Nigeria’s U20 Women’s national team, the Falconets, have sailed to the final round of the 2014 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers after they defeated their Tunisian opponents 4-0 in the second round, second leg game played in Tunis on Sunday night.
The Falconets had earlier beaten the Tunisians by the same score line in the first leg played at the Abuja National Stadium on December 14th through goals from Uchechi Sunday(3) and Patience Okaeme and the return leg emphatic win made it 8-0 on aggregate to the side coached by Peter Devdevbo.
Nigeria will thus face South Africa in the third and final round of the qualifiers after the South Africans rivals pummelled Tanzania 5-0 in the second leg played in Johannesburg having already whipped the same side 4-1 in Dar Es Salam during the initial leg. They qualified 9-1 on aggregate.
The Falconets will host the first leg on January 11th, 2014 in Abuja before the deciding leg in Johannesburg on the weekend of January 24th-26th, 2014.
