Cable network provider, Mutltichoice Nigeria has announced its partnership with the leadership of Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to cover all matches being played by the senior national team, the Super Eagles and Federation Cup matches.
At a press briefing in Lagos, Felix Awogu, General Manager, Strategy, Supersport in West Africa said the cable network provider has reached agreement with the apex football body in what is meant to develop the local football.
"We are pleased to inform you that Supersport and Multichoice have signed an agreement with NFF to cover all Super Eagles matches both home and away as well as the Federation Cup. We believe the championship is the foundation of Nigerian football and this partnership will surely see to the development of Nigerian football.
" Remember that it is through the coverage of local matches by Supersport that the likes of Sunday Mba was discovered for national team," Awogu said.
Meanwhile, the media organization has launched what it called Let's Go to Samba 2014, a promo designed to take 60 of its subscribers to Brazil to witness next year World Cup.
Speaking on the Speaking at the launch of the promo, Martin Mabutho, General Manager, Marketing and Sales said that though the promo is for the festive season, it will be extended far beyond the yuletide season in celebration of MultiChoice Nigeria's 20th year of uninterrupted quality entertainment.
