Former Niger Delta Affairs minister and 2015 governorship hopeful, Elder Godsday Orubebe has said he is in love with wife of Delta State Governor, Deaconess Rolly Uduaghan, for her “extraordinary commitment to winning souls for God.”

Orubebe professed her admiration for Mrs. Uduaghan at the Nigerian Prisons formations at Ogwashuku, Sapele and Warri in Delta State where he learnt that Uduaghan’s wife built sizable Church auditoriums aimed at drawing both inmates and staff of the prisons closer to God.

The former minister who has declared to run for the 2015 Governorship in Delta was at the prisons, as part activities marking his 55th birthday celebration, to donate beddings, sports kits, toiletries and confectioneries to improve welfare of staffs and inmates while also sharing bible copies and the word of God to build hope of a better future for inmates.

Orubebe said, “I have heard a lot of uncommon things the Delta First Lady is doing to uplift the ordinary man. Today I have heard and seen with my own eyes that she is building to win souls for God. Anyone investing in winning souls for God is dear to my heart. God will continue to oil the wheel of Delta’s First Lady anywhere she finds herself.”

In a sermon titled “Label”, the former minister reminded the prisons inmates that being in prison is not the end of life for them, adding that they stand significant chances of coming out to be great Nigerians in the future if only they would make peace with God.

He told the inmates, “God told me some of you are being held here not for any crime you committed, but because an enemy wrongly labeled you bad before the law. Even the prison officials attest to such situations. But God never created any man bad. So the only way you can recover your God intended rightful labeling is to accept Christ.”

In all three prisons formations visited, both management and inmates were thankful to the former minister, praying God to grant his aspirations to widen his leverage to deliver more goodwill and God’s blessing the needy in society.
